We are part of a worldwide family of dancers known as the RSCDS (the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society). (the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society) which was formed in 1923 to promote Scottish Country Dancing and to ensure the dances of Scotland were recorded. The first book of dances was produced in 1924. Book 53, containing some old favourites, not previously published by the Society, and some newer dances was published in the centennial year.
